Meadowbrook, PA—Dr. Jessica Baker, Board Certified in Family Medicine, has joined Holy Redeemer Family Practice at Meadowbrook, located in the Holy Redeemer Medical Office Building, 1650 Huntingdon Pike, Meadowbrook, Suite 256.
Dr. Baker sees patients of all ages—from babies to the elderly—in fact, that is one of the reasons she became a family physician. “I love the aspect of family medicine that allows me to build relationships over time with whole families.”
Part of those long term relationships includes promoting health and well-being among her patients, not just treating disease. Dr. Baker strives to make healthcare a comfortable experience for her patients. “My goal is to help patients meet the health goals that they establish,” she says.
Before joining Holy Redeemer, Dr. Baker served as Lead Physician at Elwyn, a home for developmentally disabled adults and children, where she developed an expertise in treating patients with Prader-Willi Syndrome (PWS), a genetic disorder responsible for life-threatening obesity in children, low muscle tone, a chronic feeling of hunger, and often below average IQ or learning issues. In addition, Dr. Baker was a family medicine physician and medical acupuncturist at the Center for Family Health in Middletown, Delaware County. A licensed Osteopathic Physician Acupuncturist, Dr. Baker earned her medical degree at College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific in California, and served her residency at Crozer-Keystone in Springfield, Pennsylvania where she was chief resident. Prior to medical school, Dr. Baker served as a full-time AmeriCorps member working with urban homeless populations. She has a special interest in preventative and holistic medicine.
