| The Holy Redeemer Wound Care Center is a state-of-the-art outpatient facility for the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of chronic or non-healing wounds in adults. The medical team, including a surgeon and certified wound ostomy and continence nurses (CWOCNs), are experts on the latest techniques, pharmaceuticals and dressings shown to improve healing and prevent hospitalizations from wounds. This team also educates patients about how to change dressings and make lifestyle modifications in diet and hygiene that will aid the healing process. |
Wounds resistant to healing can stem from diabetes, peripheral artery or vascular disease, surgery, burns, immobility or radiation therapy.
